A throwback to one of the best sightings during our Stay Home Safari’s series. After watching the pack of wild dogs hunt a large herd of impala and missing, they bump into a mother and calf waterbuck.
After being chased into the water by the dogs, the little waterbuck managed to escape from a large pod of hippos, who were not impressed with the disturbance in their waterhole.
After a few hours the wild dogs gave up and the Mother and calf waterbuck managed to escape unharmed. These wild dogs are just savage. You have to feel bad for these bucks sometimes. Life is so cruel in the wild.
Look at the way the dogs are hunting using the “relay running”. They usually out flank their prey and what ends up to favor them and the unfortunate to the prey. I guess that’s mother nature.
