Water is the world’s most precious resource. Nothing is more important than water. Freshwater resources are increasingly over-stretched and it’s only going to get worse.
Soaring demand coupled with the impact of climate change could leave billions facing water shortages, and lead to conflict. We need to work together to ensure sustainable water supplies for all and that includes wildlife.
“Water for All” is the theme of WWWeek which kicks off today. But the world has no chance of achieving SDG6 unless we transform the way we manage our freshwater resources. If we don’t, people & wildlife could end up fighting over water.
