Warthog staring at its predator

Warthogs have poor eyesight but excellent senses of hearing and smell. Their eyes sit high on their heads so that they can spot predators, even while grazing.

The cheetah is known as the world’s fastest land mammal and often preys on small to medium size antelope such as springbok, duiker, and impala. However, they sometimes also kill warthogs, rabbits, birds and the young of larger antelope for their diet.

This video, which was shared on YouTube, shows Warthog taking smaller steps while going near the cheetah. He is moving forward in the direction of the Cheetah to get the perfect sight of him.

The eyesight of a Warthog is usually weak and thus in the video also he could be seen approaching the Cheetah to take a look at the animal. The video also shows Warthog standing in front of the Cheetah for fewer minutes and then leaving the spot.

That cheetah was never a serious threat to that warthog. A full-grown warthog is an animal to be reckoned with. A leopard – yes. But not a cheetah.

He got confused. He was like “Why this Leopard is not attacking me” then got closer “Wait are you a Leopard or a Cheetah” then he realized “Oh you’re a Cheetah whoosh…. I’m safe.”

warthog isn’t intimidated…. he was like nope, saw you struggling taking down a gazelle, you’re exposed. That warthog definitely tested the boundaries between predator and prey! just got a lucky break this time.

You can clearly see that hog taunting the cheetah. He was like, “Hey there skinny cat. You up for a race? I’m kinda fast, too, which you would know if you had the minerals to come after me. Anyway, wanna test that speed against mine?”

Cheetah was like, “Keep it moving, Pumba. Not in the mood.”
